Sunday River
is known throughout New England ...eight interconnected mountain peaks are
consistently covered by legendary Sunday River snow. High capacity quads and
guaranteed snow on all of the River’s 743 acres of terrain make this a
skiers’ and riders' paradise.
Sunday River has a reputation of opening
first in the North East, and in 2010 first in the country ahead of Arapahoe
Basin and Loveland. With over 132 trails and 743 acres, most buffed
to perfection by award-winning groomers, you don't have to ski the same run
twice - but you may want to when you saunter down Dreammaker, or arc perfect
turns on American Express.
After carving the steeps of White Heat, cruising the S-turns of Lollapalooza,
or gliding through 75 acres of newly expanded Blind
Ambition Glades -stop for lunch or a fresh cinnamon bun
at the on
mountain North Peak Lodge, which has a spacious deck for those sunny days.
Sunday River has one of longest ski season's in New England, thanks to all
the snowmaking. There are plenty of activities for
your on and off slope enjoyment including a new zip line. The nearby hamlet of Bethel has been
named by Ski Magazine as one of the country's best ski towns.
Sunday River is owned by Boyne USA along with
sister resort Sugarloaf as part of their resort portfolio.
A swank Chondola from South Ridge to North Peak offers a hybrid ride on a 6-person
chair or a gondola, so night skiing is an option for Sunday River fun, or
let the kids ski while you go to the Foggy Goggle for apres ski and live
bands or dine at The
Peak riding the Chondola under the stars on Saturday night.
